My White Belt Life.

I began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu recently. I'm super happy with they gym I joined. Living in Philadelphia I had no idea the amount of BJJ opportunities there are. I also didn't have any idea about the community.

That being said. I'm a white belt. No stripes. I used to train years ago in a mixed martial arts format, before it was even called MMA. I stopped when I learned about beer and girls, round about the age of 18. I studied for a solid 4 years 3 hours a day for 4 days a week, depending on my school and ice hockey obligations.

I was never a small child. I was always a pretty big kid, but pretty flexible and athletic. The trick was, I never stopped. Getting back into BJJ and fitness in general makes me wish I never stopped. On the flip-side, this is a great opportunity for me to empty my cup and approach this as something completely new.

In the spirit of that I wanted to chronicle my journey as a white belt
